Getting sponsored as an up and coming streamer or even a brand new streamer is actually pretty easy. There are plenty of companies that will sponsor young and new streamers, you just have to know where to look.
Before we jump into these companies, I do want to make a mention on searching for sponsorships as a new streamer. It is always nice to make money while playing games, I mean who wouldn’t want to make some side change or even a living off an awesome hobby. What you need to know is that you should focus on building your audience and keeping your channel free of clutter. Do not take a sponsorship just to have a sponsorship. If you try to sell gaming controllers as a PC streamer then you’re probably not going to get a lot of sales and you might lose out on potential viewers who see that as a sellout move. Only apply for sponsorships that actually fit your channel and stream. This will allow you to create a better streaming experience for your viewers. Plus, when you have a sponsor that fits your channel, the sales will come naturally.
Without further ado, I am going to let you know how to search and find sponsors for your channel. When searching for sponsors, search for affiliate sponsorship programs. These programs will practically sponsor anyone. This is not always the case, but for the most part it is. An affiliate sponsorship is a sponsorship that has you promote the company’s product and for every sale you make from your discount code or unique link you’ll receive cash back. You won’t be getting free products, except in some cases like OP Seat who will pay out commission on sales and then after 10 sales ship you a gaming chair of your own, but you will be earning a percentage back on each sale. There are other companies with few exceptions, but for the most part for every sale you make you’ll you’ll receive a commission 5-10% commission of that sale.
It is that simple! New streamer? Search for affiliate sponsorship programs. What’s even better than having to do the searching is that I have compiled a list of affiliate programs on SponsorHunter already! Go ahead and take a look at this page listing all sponsorship types including affiliates. As you grow you can turn your sights on larger sponsorship programs that actually send you free gear from the start!
