Best Gaming Sponsorships for 2019

Best Gaming Sponsorships for 2019

What are the best gaming sponsorships for 2019? In this article I am going to list my top sponsorships for 2019 based on a few criteria’s. The criteria’s are:

  1. Quality of the sponsorship – value you receive from company based on similar sponsorships
  2. Length sponsorship has been available – the longer the better
  3. Responsiveness to questions from sponsoring company – unresponsive now, unresponsive later

Do note that SponsorHunter.com has always tried to promote and list all available sponsors without any bias. This article does take that non-bias away as we will be rating, however, I will be rating on facts I have observed and in the end, it is still up to you to decide which sponsors fit your channel best.

Over the past few years I have been researching and listing gaming sponsors for gaming channels on SponsorHunter. This list will show you the best sponsorships for 2019 based on my time doing this research.

The below companies are the top companies that I believe offer the best sponsorship programs in 2019. The list has no particular order.

#1 Ironside

I like Ironside. They did a lot of noticeable marketing in 2018. All the major streamers I was watching had sponsorships with Ironside. They even provided free PC’s to Twitch streamers and YouTube video makers as part of their partnership. The creators receiving the free PCs had less than 100k followers too which is interesting to see especially when other PC sponsors were not provided free computers to content creators with 500k followers.

Quality: With the above criteria’s in mind, the quality of the Ironside sponsorship is very high. Receiving a free gaming computer is a no brainer, and it pretty much beats out receiving any other free items from other companies. Free anything is always nice, but a free PC is a whole nother level.

Longevity and Responsiveness: For the longevity of the sponsorship, I am a little skeptical. I saw a bunch of streamers talking and promoting Ironside in early 2018. Towards the end of the year, not so much. Some streamers even talked about letting their contracts lapse. They didn’t say why but that’s not a good sign. From the outside, Ironside looks amazing, but it sounds like there may be some issues internally. This leads me to my final criteria of communication. I was unable to get in touch with Ironside. I’m okay with that because I am not a streamer or video maker, but if streamers are letting their contracts lapse then there has to be some poor communication going on.

In the end, Ironside looked promising in 2018 and are still around in 2019. I’d walk into their program for 2019 a little cautious but if they look good to you then I’d say go with them. They look great from the outside but who knows what they look like from the inside.

#2 Viter Energy Mints

Viter has been around for a while now and still offer a strong partner program. What I like about Viter is that they reached out to me about adding their program to my website. This shows that they are serious about finding sponsorees and promoting their program. They are putting effort into this program which is a good sign.

Quality: Their sponsorship is the basic affiliate program where you sell their products and you get a commission back. It’s not bad and they also provide complimentary gear for your viewers.

Longevity and Responsiveness: I’d also say they are pretty responsive. They reached out to me after all and we were able to work together to get their page setup. This is a quality affiliate program especially if you and your viewers like energy mints.

#3 Nerdvana Clothing

This program opened up in 2017 and have been going strong since. They are a clothing company offering sponsorships to gamers.

Quality: They offer multiple levels of sponsorships which is nice to see as it caters towards your viewer base and allows you to set goals to reach a higher level and higher commissions and rewards.

Longevity: Like I mentioned earlier, this sponsorship has been around for two plus years now. That’s a good sign and is likely to stay around for a few more years. If you’re looking for a clothing sponsor then this is the one for 2019.

Responsiveness: When they first started they were pretty responsive but I haven’t been able to touch base since.

#4 OP Seat

(Or any gaming chair sponsor really but I like OP Seat’s program the best). I like OP Seat the best because they offer the best rewards to their partners and will provide a chair to all partners after a certain amount of sales. That’s a pretty decent deal!

Quality: Partners will receive commission for each sale they earn. After 10 chair sales, partners will receive a chair of their own. For an affiliate program, this is really good. Partners will also receive commission on each sale.

Longevity: I came across this program back in 2018 and it seems to be going strong today. A lot of chair companies make good profits. The cost to build these chairs is very minimal and they are marked up a lot. Making just a handful of sales a month is all these companies need to stay in business so if partners help them out they will continue to prosper.

Responsiveness: I was unable to get in touch with OP Seat so it’s hard to say how easy partners will be able to get a hold of them too. They are a small company but responding to inquiries should be a task for one of their employees. Ignoring questions and comments is never a good sign. Again, I am not a partner so they may be better responding to their partners.

Runner Ups:

Razer.
Razer has a great program and offers some pretty good incentives to help promote their products. What’s also so great about Razer is what makes them not hit the top countdown. They are so popular that everyone reaches out to them and everyone who can be a partner with them will be. The communications I had with them was very slow and I don’t blame them. They are a major company with only so much staff. If you are a big name then they may be more responsive, but if not, then I’d say stay away from them for now and open your eyes on the more responsive companies. If you really want to partner with Razer then work on growing your channel to be one of the major ones, otherwise don’t bother with them.

SteelSeries.
SteelSeries is another great company offering a bunch of sponsorship opportunities. The reason they did not make the cut is because they are a large company looking for big names. They receive countless requests a day and should not be sought after. They are still a great company offering a great sponsorship program, however, there other other equally as strong sponsorship programs that are more eager to sponsor non-big name streamers.

Other Mentions:

Catalyst Mints.
I like this company, their product, and their program. My concern is that they will prevent you from having other partner programs with other companies. When I reached out to them in 2017 they asked me to remove all other food and mint sponsors from my website. That was a no go for me and something to think about for you. Other than that, they seemed fine. They are also the same company that created No Scope gaming glasses. They shut down No Scope to focus on Catalyst Mints.
Catalyst Mints has also switched their program to invite only. This generally is not a good sign if they are unable to manage all their sponsorees. I would not chase after this program, but if they come to you, go ahead and accept the invite as it’s still a good program.

Turtle Beach.
Another great company, however, their partnered program keeps going up and down. It’s not a program anyone should sign up for. Turtle Beach does sponsor professionals and they do a good job at that. However, if you want a Turtle Beach sponsorship, grow enough that they come to you. Do not go to them. If you go to them the sponsorships they offer, if it is even available at the time, is not a good one.
